The CHAIRISH THE MUSEUM Exhibition and Silent Auction Benefit is an annual event.
Many thanks to the artisans who create and donate such amazing chairs, and thanks to the local art galleries who join in the fun.

The 2009 Chairish the Museum Silent Auction Finale - Saturday, February 7, was a great success, raising over $5,000.
And special thanks to Queen Latifah for adding so much excitment to our 2009 event.

					The Monmouth Museum is thrilled to have had Queen Latifah design and donate a chair for their annual “Chairish” the Monmouth Museum Exhibition and Benefit Auction. Latifah agreed to custom-paint and decorate a chair with her mother, Rita Owens, a former art teacher (pictured with Queen Latifah at top left). Their one-of-a-kind chair was on display at the Museum’s CHAIRISH The Museum Benefit on February 7th, 2009. The event was a great success, raising over $5,000. The exhibition includes an amazing variety of chairs decorated and designed by local artists and craftspersons. The chairs are donated to the Museum. They are put on display at local art galleries a few weeks before the final auction event.
