A private, non-profit organization, The Monmouth Museum is supported entirely by individuals, foundations, corporate, county and state grants, income from special events, membership dues, gift shop revenue and admissions.

Directions

The Monmouth Museum is located at 765 Newman Springs Road, Lincroft, NJ 07738 on the Brookdale Community College campus.

The Museum’s telephone number is (732) 747-2266.

The Museum can be reached from the Garden State Parkway exit 109. Travel west on Newman Springs Road (Rt. 520) to the Brookdale entrance on the left. Enter and make the first right turn onto Museum Drive. Follow signs to parking area #1. The Museum sits deep in the property, on the edge of the wooded area.
As alternates, both Highways 34 and 35 intersect Newman Springs Road (Rte. 520).

To reach the Museum from western Monmouth County, take Highway 33 to Route 537 North. Take Route 537 North to Highway 34. Make a left onto Highway 34. Travel approximately 1 mile and make right onto Phalanx Road and go approximately 4 miles. The entrance to Brookdale will be on the left. Follow signs to parking lot #1.

On campus hint: On the North end of campus (the Newman Springs Road entrance) the Museum is very close to the (CVA) Center for the Visual Arts, near the (PAC) Performing Arts Center and Larrison Hall buildings. The Gymnasium is on the South end of campus (the Phalanx Road entrance). Follow signs to parking lot #1.

REGIONALLY ACCESSABLE
The Monmouth Museum is located in the Lincroft section of Middletown Township. Situated in the eastern-central section of NJ along its northern Atlantic coastline, the Museum is between two major metropolitan areas – New York City, 45 miles to the north and Philadelphia, 70 miles to the west. The region can be easily reached by rail and major highways including the Garden State Parkway along the Eastern Shore and Interstate 195, which connects the New Jersey Turnpike to the coast.

INCLEMENT WEATHER
Museum Closings due to weather or emergencies are controlled by Brookdale Community College. In the event of inclement weather, turn to the College Website (www.brookdalecc.edu) for any campus closing decision that will be posted by 6 AM.

MUSEUM RULES – ESTABLISHED FOR YOUR SAFETY
1. No food is allowed in the Museum. You are welcome to leave to have lunch and come back with your daily admission fee.
2. Parents must supervise children on the slides. They are fast. No children under six years old are allowed on the Becker Wing slide. And no Adults on either slide!
3. No running. All kids want to run when they are excited. Hold their hands or try fast walking as an alternative.
4. If there is an injury, please tell a staff member and fill out an Accident Report. The Brookdale police (certified EMT’s) will be called in the case of a serious medical emergency.
5. A Household Membership covers the family that lives in your house – not the kids next door or your Aunt & Uncle from Out of State.
6. Due to insurance specifications no strollers are allowed in the Children’s Wings. Stroller parking is available in the hallways.

We are a private, nonprofit museum run by a really small staff. We count on you to visit and we want you to have a wonderful experience. We need you to help us by playing by the rules.

Groups and Field Trips
