Please join the Monmouth Museum, New Jersey Audubon, and the Navesink Garden Club for an exciting adventure into the world of Backyard Birding! Learn about Certified Wildlife Habitats® and Common Backyard Visitors, and how to care for our wildlife during winter months. We’ll put out several pine cone feeders in the Karl and Betty Jean Meyer Art and Nature Area, identify the birds that come to visit, and start a running tally for the Monmouth Museum! Please bring binoculars if you have them!
Kristin Hock is the Habitat Outreach Coordinator for NJ Audubon and focuses on the Garden for Wildlife™ program. Traveling around the state, Kristin educates audiences how to best support wildlife by providing food, water, cover, and places to raise young while using sustainable practices; in doing so, their outdoor space is transformed into an eligible Certified Wildlife Habitat®. By combining her experiences and education in wildlife biology, environmental education, and vegetable farming, Kristin is ensuring the Garden State is a haven for our most vulnerable species such as pollinators and songbirds.
