A poem is an Aladdin’s lamp, it’s been said. Though small in size, it houses a powerful genie. It’s that perfect little story that tells a bigger one.
Please join the Monmouth Museum and teaching artist Shelley Benaroya as we explore the works of master poets who, in turn, inspire us to write poems of our own. Open to writers at all stages of their career: whether you’re new to the genre or looking for an insightful, nurturing circle of writers to cultivate your craft. Led by Shelley Benaroya, NJSCA teaching artist and director of the Writing Center for Creative Aging. Participants are required to bring a notebook/journal for writing, pen/pencil.
