The Museum of American Glass
Lunch in the heart of Glasstown Arts District
Join us on a dazzling trip to Wheaton Arts and Cultural Center, a regional, national and internationally recognized arts center in our own New Jersey. At the core of WheatonArts is the Museum of American Glass where the creativity and craftsmanship of American glass are celebrated. We will take a tour of this exhibition space, with a collection of over 20,000 pieces strong, and discover why this Museum is a leading resource on the art and history of glass made in America.
At the studio of the Creative Glass Center of America, you will watch an artist’s demonstration of traditional and contemporary glassblowing techniques. Here you will witness the amazing transformation of hot glass into a beautiful paperweight, vase, or piece of abstract contemporary sculpture.
There will be time to browse the Museum Stores where you will find a beautiful selection of handcrafted gift items including glass, sculpture and fine art, jewelry, pottery and holiday inspired pieces.
We will lunch at Andrea Trattoria in the heart of the Glasstown Arts District in Millville NJ. Of course, we’ve left a little time for shopping, strolling and enjoying the Arts District too!
